Passion Flower 'Fata Confetto' (Passiflora hybrid) This freeblooming hybrid brings a year-round show of fragrant, 3-4" lavender blooms with decorative, frilly corollas. Banded in lavender and white, the crinkled filaments engulf each flower and a pleasant fragrance accompanies the floral beauty.

Description Passiflora 'Fata Confetto's flowers are somewhat reminiscent of the common maypop's blooms. However, they are much larger, and much more showy. When this plant gets blooming, there will be so many flowers open that they might almost hide the foliage.

The father (P. edmundoi) introduced the magenta colour to the petals and sepals and, compared with P. ' Fata Confetto', reduced the number of alternating white and violet bands in the filaments. The latter have remained, at times with barely a hint, only in the centre of the flower and their numbers vary, even on flowers of the same specimen.

Clusters of up to 8 dainty, white petaled blooms with yellowish-orange filaments and a maroon center accent its soft, velvety leaves. These large, unique leaves give Passiflora holosericea the common name of Velvet Leaf Passion Flower. Passiflora Holosericea is a large vine capable of growing quite rapidly in warm temperatures.
